This was amazing. Top notch -- I really liked it. As soon as I saw this episode, I wanted a fic where Nick/Monroe sort of adopt Roddy. He could use a mentor (or two). There were a few grammar mistakes, but nothing too noticeable.
The end was just beautiful -- Roddy playing violin to say thanks... Man, I really liked it. This would make a great series -- snapshots in the life and whatnot -- but it also works fabulously on its own. Good job!
